Empty Die

A self-propelled installation that demands the action of the spectator, who becomes an actor, an active part of the evocation of what happens in the depths of violence: if you turn your heart, you choke your head. Violence begins with an emotional involvement that becomes psycho-emotional, where reason and dignity lose their definition. The heart must be caressed, not held in the grip of possession, in order to produce life.
The installation was adopted by the Municipality of Campomorone, Hall of Ceremonies.

Installation Mixed media: chair, red tempera, paper, gears, wood, mannequin head
Artistic direction: Federica Barcellona
Color design: Gianluca Fazzino
Mechanism design: Marco De Luca

Conceived by Gabriella de Filippis (lawyer), Ivano Malcotti (educator) and Deborah Riccelli (writer).
Several Ligurian municipalities will adopt a red chair painted by artists to launch an awareness campaign against gender-based violence.
